A/B copy testing
Not sure which angle lands? Run an A/B test. SlingAgent writes two (or more) distinctly different versions of a promo for the same platform — a different hook in each — and gives each its own tracking link, so you can see which one actually earns the clicks.
Running a test
On a link's page, find A/B copy tests. Pick a platform, click New test, and you'll get variants labelled A and B. Use Copy post + link on each to post them (space them out, or post to similar audiences), then come back to watch the clicks roll in.
Posting the variants
You have two ways to run a test:
- Auto-post (for Auto links): if the link is set to Auto publishing and the platform is connected, tick "Auto-post the variants for me" when you start the test. SlingAgent schedules them — variant A goes out at the next posting run, B a few hours later — and posts them for you. No copy-pasting.
- Manual: otherwise the variants are drafts. Use Copy post + link on each to post them yourself.
Picking a winner
Each variant shows its click count. Once a test has enough clicks and one version is clearly ahead, SlingAgent marks it with a Winner badge. Until then it shows Gathering data — a lead on a handful of clicks is just noise.
Reuse the winning copy
When a winner is decided, click Reuse winning copy. SlingAgent remembers that post and feeds it into future promo generation for that link as a proven example — so new promos echo the hook and angle that actually won, and your copy compounds over time. You'll see a Reused in generation badge once it's saved.
Delete a test anytime — its tracking links keep working.
