Browser extension
The SlingAgent browser extension (Chrome & Edge) lets you send the page you're looking at — or any link — straight into SlingAgent's Add link form, already filled in. It never stores your password or any tokens; SlingAgent handles sign-in in your browser as usual.
What it does
- Toolbar button — click the SlingAgent icon to see the current page, then Promote this link to open it in SlingAgent, pre-filled.
- Share once — the quick, one-off path (see below): mint a tracked link for the page and post it a single time, or schedule it, without setting up a campaign.
- Right-click menu — right-click a page or a link and choose Promote … with SlingAgent or Share this page once with SlingAgent.
- Keyboard shortcuts — Alt+Shift+S to promote the current tab, Alt+Shift+O to share it once.
- Smart capture — the extension reads the page's real title and description (from its meta tags) and fills them in for you. This works even on sites SlingAgent can't fetch from its own servers, so your links arrive pre-enriched.
Share once
Promote this link puts a page on autopilot — a saved link SlingAgent generates promos for on a schedule. Share once is for the opposite: sharing one thing, one time. Click Share once (or press Alt+Shift+O) and SlingAgent:
- Mints a trackable link for the page you're on — copy it to paste anywhere.
- Lets you pick which connected accounts to post to and write the post (one message for all, or tailored per platform). You can also attach your own image — it's posted to every account you selected.
- Lets you add hashtags — from your own saved groups, or suggested for the page on request (Pro and Unlimited). See below.
- Posts it now, or Schedules it for a later date — at your best time that day (Optimized) or an Exact time you pick. Scheduling is a paid-plan feature and the post shows up on your publishing calendar.
Every click is tracked in your analytics like any other link — it just doesn't clutter your managed Links list.
Suggested hashtags
Under the compose box you'll find your saved Hashtag Groups — click one to drop its whole set in. Groups work on every plan.
Next to them, Suggest hashtags (Pro and Unlimited) reads the page and proposes some. It only runs when you ask: if you already have your own tags, nothing is generated. Once suggestions appear:
- Click a chip to drop that hashtag into your post; click it again to take it back out.
- Add all fills in every suggestion that still fits, best matches first.
- Refresh asks for a different set — handy if the first batch missed your angle.
Suggestions are based on the page's title and description, the networks you've selected, and whatever copy you've already typed — so they fit the actual post, not just the page. In Custom per platform mode each platform gets its own chip row, so you can run a couple of professional tags on LinkedIn and a longer discovery tail on Instagram.
Like what it came up with? Save to group banks the tags in your own Hashtag Groups for reuse.
Hashtags are added below your copy with a blank line between, the way they read on every network.
A chip greys out when adding it would push the post past that network's character limit, so you can't accidentally make a post that won't send.
Managing your one-off shares
Your Share once links live on their own Share once tab on the Dashboard, kept separate from your managed promo links (and rolled up in the Share once analytics report). From the tab you can:
- Convert to promos — turn a one-off into a normal managed link so you can generate promos for it on a schedule (the same as Save as link).
- Delete — remove a share from the list. Its tracking URL keeps working and its clicks keep counting, so a link you've already posted somewhere never goes dead — it just tidies up your list.
- Select several and delete them at once — tick the checkbox on any rows (or Select all) and hit Delete to clear a batch in one go.
Expiring old shares automatically
One-off shares pile up fast — you mint one every time you sling a page. Under Settings → Share once you can pick how long they stay on your lists: keep forever (the default), or 7, 30, 90, 180 days, or a year. Anything older drops off automatically.
Expiring never breaks a link:
- The short link keeps redirecting — anyone who has it, in a post or a DM or a newsletter, still lands on your page.
- Clicks keep counting toward your analytics, including the Share once report.
- Only the listing goes away — the share stops showing on your Share once tab and in the Share once history.
Want to keep one for good? Convert to promos takes it out of the one-off pool entirely, so it's never expired.
One-click add (API token)
By default, clicking Promote opens SlingAgent's Add-link form pre-filled. If you'd rather add the link instantly (no new tab), create a personal token:
- Go to Settings → API tokens and Create token. Copy it (shown once).
- In the extension's Options, paste it into API token and save.
Now the popup shows your plan and promos-left, and Promote adds the link straight to your account. Treat the token like a password; revoke it any time on the same settings page.
Installing
The extension is live on the Chrome Web Store:
- Open the SlingAgent — Promote This listing.
- Click Add to Chrome (it works in Microsoft Edge too — Edge installs Chrome Web Store extensions directly).
- Pin the SlingAgent icon and click it on any page.
The extension defaults to slingagent.com; you can point it elsewhere in its Options if you're testing.
