Repurpose your content

Already made something great — a YouTube video, a blog post, a podcast episode, a newsletter? Repurpose turns it into a week of platform-tailored promos that drive people back to it, so one piece of content works across every channel.

How to do it

1. On the dashboard, click Repurpose content.
2. Paste the URL of the video, post, or episode you want to promote.
3. (Optional but recommended) paste the content itself — the transcript, article text, or script. If a page is paywalled or a video has no captions, this is how SlingAgent reads it. Pasting the text always gives the best promos.
4. Click Repurpose. SlingAgent reads the content and immediately opens the new link's page, then writes a series of distinct-angle posts for each of your connected platforms — grounded in what the content actually says — and drips them across the coming days.

The posts generate in the background, so the page opens right away and the promos appear as they're written (usually within a minute). From there, review, edit, schedule, or publish them like any other promos.

YouTube links

Every YouTube URL form works — a normal watch link (youtube.com/watch?v=…), a short youtu.be/… link, a Short, and a livestream permalink (youtube.com/live/…). SlingAgent pulls the title and thumbnail, and grabs the transcript when captions are available.

Tips

• Pasting the text beats a URL alone. Server-side reading of YouTube and some blogs is hit-or-miss (bot walls, no captions); the pasted text never is.
• Each post drives clicks to the original content via a tracked link, so you can see which platform and angle sends the most traffic.
• Want more posts? Open the link and hit Generate promos again for another batch, or set up Auto-repurpose to do it automatically.

If it doesn't work

If the link itself can't be set up, the dialog tells you why — usually a URL that couldn't be read (paste the content and retry). Once the link is created, the promos generate in the background; if they don't appear after a minute, just refresh the page or press Generate promos to run it again — the link is already saved, so you won't lose your place.
