Every promo has an image so it's ready to share.

AI-generated images (Pro & Unlimited)

On Pro and Unlimited, click Generate image on any promo and SlingAgent creates a unique image from its prompt — no design work needed. Click Regenerate any time you want a different take. (Generating on demand keeps you in control of when images are created.)

Fresh images on a schedule (Pro & Unlimited)

Clicking Generate image on every promo gets old fast. Open a link, go to its Scheduling tab, and set Promo images so new batches come with their own artwork:

• Reuse this link's own image — the default, and how SlingAgent has always worked: every promo shows the link's product image (a book cover, the page's preview image).
• Fresh AI image each batch — one new image per generated batch, shared by every platform in it. A consistent look per run, and the cheaper of the two.
• Fresh AI image for every post — each post in the batch gets its own image, drawn from that post's own copy.

The images arrive a few minutes after the promos themselves — writing a picture takes far longer than writing a caption, so SlingAgent does it in the background and the card says New image on the way in the meantime. Until it lands (or if it fails), the promo shows the link's own image, so there's never an empty promo.

Anything you set by hand wins: upload or regenerate an image yourself and SlingAgent leaves it alone. The setting applies to promos generated from then on, not to ones already written.

There's a monthly ceiling on automatic images (200 on Pro, 1,000 on Unlimited) so a daily link on nine platforms can't quietly run away with your allowance. Past it, new promos keep the link's own image until the next month.

Upload your own

Don't like the generated image? Click Upload on any promo to use your own (PNG, JPG, or WebP, up to 4 MB). Your upload replaces the current image right away — available on every plan.

Each network has its own rules about what shape an image can be, and Instagram in particular rejects anything outside 4:5 to 1.91:1 — so a wide banner can post to Facebook and fail on Instagram in the same batch. A 1080x1080 square works everywhere. See Image requirements by platform before uploading something unusually wide or tall.

Download an image

Click Download under any promo image to save it. Useful when you want the same visual somewhere SlingAgent doesn't post for you — a newsletter, a slide, a forum post. The file arrives named for the link, platform and date (shadows-in-the-hollows-mastodon-2026-08-21.png), so it's still recognizable in your Downloads folder months later.

Rendered short-form videos have the same Download MP4 option.

Before an AI image exists, a promo uses the link's own image (for example a book cover or the page's preview image), so it always has something to show.
